Originally from Australia, Ian moved to the UK to study physics at Oxford University. Having completed his doctorate in particle physics, he switched fields to become a software engineer. After the Snowden revelations of 2013, Ian started developing Peergos, a better, more private internet that protects democracy and empowers people. When not working on cryptography or distributed systems, he enjoys competitive ballroom dancing.
