Dr. Eunsook Eunah Kim is Head of Research and Development at UDG Alliance in Switzerland. She has a demonstrated history of working in government research institutes and private sectors over 25 years in the domains of IoT, Digital transformation of city, water resources and energy data, Future Networks, ICT & Climate Change and more. In addition to her primary job function, she is a FIWARE Science Advisory Board member and FIWARE Smart Water Domain Committee member. She has been also serving the European Commission as an independent expert since 2009. Prior to her current job, she worked for Device Gateway and Martel in Switzerland, ETRI in South Korea, and NIST in the USA. During the time to work for ETRI, she actively engaged in standardization in IETF, ITU-T SG13, ITU-T JCA-IoT and ITU-T SG5 where she produced a few international standards, and served as a vice chair of ITU-T SG5 WP3 (ICT & Climate change) from 2009 to 2012. She has been honored by two Minister Awards from the Korean government: the Standards Winners Award from the Ministry of Knowledge Economy in 2011 and the Outstanding Contributors Award from the Korean Communication Commission in 2009. She received an M.S and Ph.D degree in Computer Science from Sookmyung Women’s University in Seoul, Korea in 1998 and 2001, respectively.
